eDiets.com® and WomenHeart Team Up To Fight Heart Disease

Healthy living Web site partners with leading advocacy group representing the 8 million American women living with heart disease

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL and Washington D.C. November 29, 2004 eDiets.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:DIET), a leading online diet, fitness, and healthy living destination, has joined with WomenHeart - the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease (www.womenheart.org) for a "Fit into Your Red Dress" initiative that is designed to help women who have heart disease and those who are at-risk. According to WomenHeart, heart disease is the number #1 killer of women in America, with nearly twice as many women in the United States die of heart disease as from all other forms of cancer. With more than 8,000,000 American women currently living with heart disease, this shocking statistic is clearly a wake-up call.

For members of eDiets.com who enroll in the company's specialized eDiets.com Heart Smart diet plan, an extra $1.00 will be collected and donated to WomenHeart, the premier patient advocacy organization representing women living with heart disease. WomenHeart aims to improve the quality of life and healthcare of these women through support, education and advocacy.

"We are thrilled to be joining forces with eDiets.com to help women take charge of their heart health," said Nancy Loving, executive director of WomenHeart. "Through the eDiets.com Heart Smart meal plan women can aspire to "fit into their own red dress" while lowering their own risk of heart disease, and also help WomenHeart eradicate this killer disease through a nominal financial donation. It's clearly a win-win situation for everyone."

The eDiets.com Heart Smart plan, a program devised by eDiets.com's in-house nutrition and fitness experts, is specifically designed for those with elevated cholesterol and blood lipid levels, high blood pressure, or congestive heart failure. The program provides each member with a personalized meal plan that is updated weekly, grocery shopping lists, and food substitution lists that teach members how to make healthy choices. Patterned on the American Heart Association's guidelines, the eDiets.com Heart Smart plan is high in fiber and low in sodium, cholesterol, and saturated fat. Not just for weight loss, this plan is appropriate for those wanting to maintain their current weight to protect their heart health, and helps members by planning meals for them. In addition, members using this plan will benefit from heart smart nutrition and fitness advice, tips, and tools tailored to their distinct needs in addition to eDiets.com's comprehensive array of online support services that are available around-the-clock.

"Most Americans don't realize what a huge toll heart disease takes, especially on women," said David Humble, CEO of eDiets.com. "A fundamental step toward conquering this disease is to educate women on how to change their nutrition and fitness habits. This initiative is the first of multiple projects planned in partnership with WomenHeart to increase the knowledge, health, and wellness of our members while supporting this vital organization."
