Nationally Syndicated Morning Radio Hosts Bob & Tom Donate 15,000 Comedy Albums to the USO for U.S. Troops
Indianapolis, Indiana - Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold, hosts of radio's funniest morning show, "The
Bob & Tom Show," announced today that they will donate 15,000 copies of their latest original comedy
album, "Operation Radio," to the USO to be included in Operation USO Care Packages. Sponsored by
NAPA Auto Parts, Bob & Tom created "Operation Radio" specifically for the USO program.
"Operation Radio" features nationally recognized comics Jim Gaffigan and Brian Regan.
From November 20 to December 31, "The Bob & Tom Show" listeners will be invited to participate in a
special holiday campaign by making donations to the USO. Last year, the generous fans of "The Bob
& Tom Show" collected more than $384,500 for Operation USO Care Package.
"To put it simply, we just want to say, 'thank you, '" said Tom Griswold on behalf of the show. "Along
with many Americans, we at 'The Bob & Tom Radio Show' share a profound appreciation for the
dedication of the men and women of the armed forces. Wherever in the world they may serve, we salute
their bravery and applaud their hard work and devotion to our country."
The Operation USO Care Package program distributes care packages to service members deploying to
Afghanistan, Iraq and other overseas locations, as well as troops arriving and departing on rest and
recuperation (R&R) flights. This holiday season will mark the distribution of the one millionth care
package from the USO to troops.
Bob & Tom are nine-time winners of Billboard Magazine's "Radio Personality of the Year Award" and
seven-time winners of the "Radio & Records Awards." They were also recognized for their
achievements in 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2006 by winning the prestigious "Marconi Award"
presented by the Natio nal Association of Broadcasters, making "The Bob & Tom Show" the only
