Toys for Tots and The UPS Store® Deliver Some Love
For the second year in a row, The UPS Store will be doing more than shipping packages
this holiday season. By partnering with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation,
The UPS Store has found a way to Deliver Some Love to children in need.
With over 4,000 locally owned The UPS Store stores nationwide, First Degree
believed a partnership with Toys for Tots would provide The UPS Store with a
national cause marketing platform that supported their franchise network and
enabled them to give back to the communities in which they operate during the
important holiday season.
This year, The UPS Store is challenging its customers to raise $1 million by
making $1 donations at participating The UPS Store locations during November
and December. 100% of the funds raised will be distributed to the local Toys
for Tots programs to purchase toys for children in need in The UPS Store communities.
To help raise awareness for the campaign, The UPS Store once again added the promotion
to their NASCAR sponsorship by asking Dale Jarrett to serve a second year as the honorary
spokesman for the Deliver Some Love campaign.
The UPS Store kicked off
the campaign April 1 with "Design Dale's Ride," a coloring contest to design a special
Toys for Tots paint scheme for Dale Jarrett's #88 Ford. The winning design was revealed
in Daytona on June 29, and Jarrett will race the special paint scheme on Sunday,
November 5, 2006.
