Summary
NETWORKER. STRATEGIST. PROBLEM SOLVER. The business development executive is a highly collaborative, influential and experienced role responsible for initiating and closing sales opportunities with nonprofits. This position is responsible for proactively canvasing the nonprofit landscape to identify viable opportunities in support of the multiyear strategic plan. Key responsibilities include working with colleagues in establishing business development priorities and successfully delivering on those priorities. This position will report to the vice president of business development.
This position will continue to be engaged with clients throughout their relationship with the company. As part of that relationship, this position will be responsible for continuing to foster additional growth through a solutions provider role.
Workplace for this position will be mutually agreed upon with options including full-time space at any of our 40 Moore offices throughout the country, hybrid office/remote or full-time remote with collaboration and travel for client and team meetings.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Implement business development strategies and tactics for the company.

Identify, evaluate, solicit and follow-up with targets through multiple sales, communication and marketing methods (e.g., cold calling, conference attendance, social media, public relations, drip campaigns, presentations).

Initiate and develop relationships with key prospects to identify and meet their business needs.

Maintain client relationships to ensure project success and future business.

Pitch 1st Degree capabilities and communicate unique selling propositions based on prospect needs and company solutions.

Oversee the creation of, or create and customize, presentations and other sales materials.

Respond to RFPs, review MSAs and other contractual agreements.

Work with project management team to write proposals, purchase orders, concept memos and include the preparation of project budgets.

Establish and achieve sales goals, metrics and milestones. Track and report on progress and success.

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, vendors and client base to achieve sales goals.

Communicate effectively with excellent writing skills across multiple writing styles, including emails, proposals, statements of work, document editing and briefs.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with teammates, clients and external vendors.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Ten or more years of nonprofit relationship experience servicing the nonprofit industry.

Background in full suite of marketing tactics to include digital, advertising creation, placement and creative development.

An established track record of nonprofit account growth required, along with an established history of achieved goals.

Experience leading and executing a full sales cycle (prospecting through closing and retention/upsell).

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required, without the need for sponsorship.
