This month we recognize No Kid Hungry and its efforts to support children during the summer months when school is out. The No Kid Hungry Campaign was launched in 2010 by Share Our Strength with a mission to solve hunger and poverty in the United States for children and their families. They provide underprivileged children with school breakfasts, summer meals, after school meals and even provide parents and guardians with opportunities for food skill education.
During the summer months, many children who receive meals during school hours are left without something to eat. Approximately one in every six children in the United States could face hunger. Like school meals, summer meals are paid for by the federal government, but without the staff and resources that the schools provide, meal sites are much harder to operate.
The Moore DM Group makes direct response television ads possible for the organization. The spots raise awareness, educate viewers and generate important funds to ensure every child in America has the food and nutrients they need to grow up healthy. 1st Degree, a Moore company, believes in using our highly personalized services to help charities and organizations reach their goals and make a difference.
